Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, our NGO has organised 60+ theme-related "performances", events and activist initiatives to attract the media's and general public's attention to the war in Ukraine and the needs of those affected. We have also created several large fundraising events and social media projects.

Whilst the Olympic games took place in Paris, some of the Russian-born athletes showed their support of the war on social media. We made a "performance" against such injustice. While Ukrainian athletes were dying at the front lines (487 athletes died as of that date), russians were allowed to compete. We were joined by a talented young Ukrainian-born athlete, Halyna Malenko.

Our hearts were shattered as russia launched a brutal attack on Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, the biggest Children's hospital in Europe, including it's cancer ward. Innocent lives, the lives of our children, were ruthlessly endangered, many were injured. This was not just an attack on Ukraine, it was an attack on humanity itself.

This week Ukraine was in the center of the world’s attention - Berlin Recovery Conference, meeting at the NATO headquarters, G7 in Italy and the Global Peace Forum in Switzerland. We gathered to remind the world about Ukrainian POWs held in russia and the need for their immediate release.

This date marked two years since the last defenders of the Azovstal steel plant surrendered following an order. Most of them remained in russian captivity for two years at that point, having to go through inhumane treatment.

This date marked two years since Ukrainian marines from 36th brigade remained in russian captivity. We were joined by two Ukrainian marines, Oleksii Rudenko and Heorhii Roshka, who both lost their limbs in combat and Heorhii survived captivity. Our "performance" used half-empty tables with those who are waiting for their loved ones from the Russian captivity.

Together with Support Ukraine and other organisations, we marched from Marble Arch to Trafalgar Square to mark the 2nd anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Our team held a giant "receipt" (original idea and design by Make Russia Pay) to highlight the unquantifiable damages caused by Russian invasion. Anna, our director, made a speech at the main demonstration about the children of war and the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia. Our team was featured in media headlights.

This demonstration marked 1,5 years since the Olenivka tragedy, where russia brutally killed Ukrianian POWs. We reminded the world that russia needs to pay for its crimes.

We celebrated the Unity Day of Ukraine organised by Support Ukraine London, which is traditionally celebrated every 22nd of January since 1919. On January 22, 1919, the Unification Act was proclaimed, joining the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic into a single, independent state. People hold hands to symbolise unity.

Our team recreated in central London a makeshift memorial for the fallen soldiers, similar to the one at Maidan Square in Kyiv. Each flag symbolises a fallen hero; there are thousands of young beautiful lives, taken by ruzzia. Portraits of some of our heroes were displayed facing Downing Street.

The association of the families of Azovstal defenders took part in this rally organised by Support Ukraine. We created a performance to show russia's inhumane treatment of POWs. We were joined by Olesya Melnichenko, an ex-POW, who had spent 7 months in russian captivity; she delivered a powerful speech, appealing to the world community for the immediate release of POWs.

When russia blew up the Nova Kahovka dam – we considered it to be one of the largest deliberate acts of ecocide in human history, flooding civilian homes, and killing thousands of animals. Together with a charity UA Animals, we created a campaign to bring attention to the problem of ecocide and the need to evacuate animals and humans.

Vesnianky and haivky are ancient Slavic traditional type of spring dances and songs performed in Ukraine after Easter to celebrate spring and reincarnation. This event was lead by our Ivanka, who spoke about Ukrainian culture and recreated Haivky in central London.
At the end, we met Roman Kashpur, a Ukrainian soldier, who ran the London marathon after loosing his leg in combat. His aim was to raise funds for British Ukrainian Aid.

This was an initative by many organisations that we participated in and promoted. We encouraged the UN to remove russia from its security council, especially since in the UN Charter, russia was only a permanent member as part of the Soviet Union.

We marched together with our partnering organisation, Stage of Freedom, ran by Iranian women, who stand against the Islamic Regime in Iran and against IRGC, who execute and imprison Iranians and supply weapons to russia to kill Ukrainians.

We celebrated the Unity Day of Ukraine, which is traditionally celebrated every 22nd of January since 1919.
On January 22, 1919, the Unification Act was proclaimed, joining the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic into a single, independent state. This day has traditionally been associated with images of people holding hands to form living chains, representing a strong and united Ukraine.

This demonstration was together with our friends from Support Ukraine Ltd and UA Animals charity. We highlighted the ecological problems brought by russia’s war against Ukraine including animals being affected. In Ukrainian culture, Vertep is a portable puppet theatre and drama, which presents the nativity scene People dress up as animals, angels, kings and the devil, to symbolise the day when Jesus was born.

Russia has been taunting Ukraine, killing civilians, specifically targeting residential buildings, hospitals, schools, historic sights and infrastructure. We asked the world to stop staying silent and to recognise that Russia is a terrorist state.

Ukraine was being attacked by Iranian "Shahed -136" drones, provided by Iran while russian troops were advancing from Belarus. They destroyed infrastructure facilities and housing and killed civilians. We protested against the triple alliance of Russia, Belarus and Iran, demanding the civilised world to stop them!

Our team stood in tears of fake blood to show that the world is choosing to close its eyes to russia’s was crimes and atrocities. Our eyes and hearts were "bleeding" after seeing the horrific photos and videos of the attacks in Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Dnipro.

After the Ukrainian city of Izyum was liberated from the russians, we found out the horrific history. 447 bodies were found in Izyum mass grave. Mainly women, there were also 6 children. Our performance aimed to highlight the crimes committed by russia.

We also showed the British public what Ukraine brings to the world - it's the largest grain exporter in Europe, the tallest building in London (the Shard) was built from Ukraine’s steel at Azovstal steel plant, etc.

During the 2022 russian invasion of Ukraine, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has become the center of an ongoing nuclear safety crisis, an act of nuclear terrorism by Russia. The plant, which is the largest of its kind in Europe, has seen destruction of its infrastructure via shelling, damage to its power lines, amounting to the largest situation of its kind in history. We wanted to bring the world’s attention to a potential nuclear disaster in Ukraine.

The massacre of Azovstal defenders, who were kept as POWs in Olenivka prison was an act of execution by russia. About 40 POWs died as a result and 130 were wounded. Our performance aimed to highlight russia's war crimes and demand prosecution.

Our team greeted the runners, who took part in the charitable marathon “Freedom run” in support of Ukraine and supported the beginning of a challenge by Olga Stignii, who started running 31 kilometres for 31 days to mark 31 years of Ukraine’s independence.

Russia launched a missile attack on Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv. The whole world saw photos of children’s toys covered in blood. At least 20 people, including three children, were killed in the attack. Four-year-old Lisa, a girl with Down's syndrome, who was walking with her mother died. The mother was heavily injured. We stood against this brutal attack.

Ivana Kupala is a traditional Slavic holiday. It celebrates the summer solstice and is commonly associated with a number of rituals such as herb collecting and bathing in the river. Our team, followed by the Ukrainian delegation was leading the London Pride in 2022. For the first time in 50 years, Ukrainian delegation had joined Pride Parade. Thanks to our friends from Support Ukraine Ltd and Ukraine Pride, who worked very hard to make this happen. This was widely publicised in the world media.

We stood with bags over our heads, covered in fake blood and with our hands tied behind our backs to symbolise russia's mistreatment of the prisoners of war. We demanded release of prisoners of war and especially the brave defenders of Azovstal steel plant, who are particularly abused by russia.

A demonstration against the Hungarian government's policy of blocking EU support aid to Ukraine and blocking ministerial-level political meetings between NATO and Ukraine. By the Hungarian embassy, we (with Support Ukraine Ltd) reminded Hungary that its own fight for democracy was brutally interrupted by soviet troops in 1956.

The March of Mothers was in support of all those Ukrainian mothers, who suffered as a result of war. Many Ukrainian mothers have their loved ones fighting at the frontlines, many lost their children, husbands or brothers. Many mothers were displaced and had to seek refuge with their children. The march was organised by Support Ukraine Ltd in collaboration with our team. This March was widely publicised by media.

This was our very first performance as a group. When we found out about what happened in the liberated areas around Kyiv region – we could not stay silent. We were all grieving and hurting because of the atrocities committed by the russian soldiers and we gathered together to raise awareness.
